BLINC’s message testing and media assessment tools naturally lend themselves to political and public facing issues. We are regularly asked to look at sensitive and sometimes secret policy issues.
These can range from the highly political (such as when we are asked to look at the likely response to proposed changes in public policy or possible privatisations) to the more straightforward such as which messaging is most likely to engender action on the part of the pubic over a particular issue.
This public policy work has involved clients from political parties, to government departments and institutions as well as the BBC Trust Board or the heads of commercial broadcasting companies.
In these areas of research trust is paramount and on more than one occasion BLINC’s work simply doesn’t and never did ‘exist’ – it was regarded as too sensitive to be committed to paper and too risky to acknowledge. We pride ourselves on the degree of trust and honesty that has been placed in us as a team over the years.
